“On International Human Solidarity Day, let us emphasize the role of human solidarity in building lives of dignity for all on a healthy planet. We must work together to achieve the SDGs and secure the future we want.” – Ban Ki-moon
This year’s celebration of Human Solidarity Day comes after leaders of the world adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which is a new, inclusive development agenda — to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and ensure dignity for all.
In recognition of this we have gathered 5 of Malala Yousafzai’s most inspirational quotes that have helped promote solidarity all over the world.
“Today on my first day as an adult, on behalf of the world’s children, I demand of leaders we must invest in books instead of bullets.”
“One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”
“When the whole world is silent, even one voice becomes powerful.”
“If one man can destroy everything, why can’t one girl change it?”
“Education is education. We should learn everything and then choose which path to follow. Education is neither Eastern nor Western, it is human.”
