Food and agriculture’s “triple gap”

The global food system is increasingly under scrutiny as a combination of unsustainable diets and population growth drive pressure on land and natural resources, while enduring inequities remain between economically developed countries and developing nations. The World Resources Institute has identified three major ‘gaps’ in the food system that need to be addressed over the next three decades to ensure that agriculture returns to a sustainable and equitable path.
