Cristianne is the Deputy Leader for WWF Food Practice and in this role supports the strategic development and implementation of initiatives globally related to Food and Conservation matters.
Cristianne has over 18 years of experience working on sustainability, agriculture, strategy and business development. For the last ten years, she has focused on sustainable agriculture working in companies and foundations to directly design, develop and implement projects on the ground with farmers. She worked with McDonald’s Latin America to develop inclusive value chains sourcing vegetables from smallholder farmers in Peru, Puerto Rico and Brazil. She established Fundacion Choco Emprende in Colombia to help local Afro-American communities gain value from conservation in the Choco. While heading Food Security Agenda in Latin America for Syngenta, she engaged with RTRS, Bonsucro, UTZ and others to help large farmers and smallholders to adopt sustainable practices. She worked in Africa with Syngenta Foundation launching value chain initiatives with smallholder farmers as well as supporting smallholder market led projects in India and Latin America.
Cristianne is a Brazilian/Argentine national, holds an MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland and is currently based in Brazil.
