Alexander Berkovskiy, Territory Head, ASEAN for Syngenta. He has overall responsibility for Syngenta’s business in ASEAN, including Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
Prior to his current appointment, he was Territory Head, CIS, responsible for bringing the best of technology and solutions to growers in 11 countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
With 18 years of agribusiness experience, Alexander has a proven leadership track record, and brings a deep understanding of grower needs and commercial strategy across multiple geographies.
Alexander joined Novartis, Syngenta’s predecessor as Trade Finance, and held a number of leadership positions in Finance, Marketing, Business Development and General Management over his career with the company.

He graduated from the State University of Management with a Master’s Degree in National Economy, and obtained a PhD in Economics from the Moscow Institute of International Economic and Political Science.
