As Co-Founder and CEO of Lestari Capital, Gabriel has led the development of the Sustainable Commodities Conservation Mechanism (SCCM), a new and innovative market-driven sustainable financing platform that helps link sustainable commodities sectors directly to conservation and ecosystem restoration initiatives on the ground. The SCCM has been designed for commodity growers, financial institutions and consumer goods and retail companies looking to redress historical deforestation and safeguard future no-deforestation commitments, and is designed to program long-term (25 year+) payments to conservation initiatives.

Gabriel specializes in market-driven solutions to sustainable development, including Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD+) and new advances in High Carbon Stock Approach (HCSA) and sustainable commodity supply chain management in the Indonesian sustainable agro-industry sector. Gabriel holds a master degree in International Economic and Environmental Policy from University of Chicago.
