Jane Afrane is the Regional Head for World Green Building Council- Africa network of Green Building Councils. She focuses on the setting up, establishment and advancement of Green Building Councils across the Africa region. She further spearheads project development and advocacy initiatives in the region to raise and promote awareness of green building. She has vast experience in the international development sector managing multi-lateral projects in West and East Africa, driving the localisation of the Sustainable Development Goals and empowering local government as a key development partner. She also previously worked at UN-Habitat providing technical support to urban governance programming and decentralisation processes. Jane is an avid writer and researcher on African Urbanism, exploring the unique complexities of the urban form in contemporary African cities.
