GOSSY UKANWOKE
Gossy is a Higher Education Investor, Founder of Beni American University and is widely recognized globally for his support and contributions to the growth of education technology. He has worked as an Advisor to a number of African governments on the development of policies to assist in creating better access, quality and relevance of learning in higher education institutions. Through his higher education investment company – BAU R&D, he has completed investments in two other Nigerian traditional universities and is poised to grow his portfolio of institutions across Africa. Gossy was named one of the 30 Under 30 Entrepreneurs 2018 by Forbes Africa. He was the global winner of the Accelerating Entrepreneurs Category of the World Entrepreneur of the Year by the advisory firm Ernst and Young in June 2015, recognizing the work he has done in education and human capital development on the African continent. In March 2016, He was a finalist on the Young CEO of the Year 2016 award by the Africa CEO Forum. In June 2016, he was named one of the Makers and Shakers of EdTech by WISE and Qatar Foundation. Gossy is the President of EduTech, a Technology Company focused on helping African traditional universities take their on-campus degree programs online. EduTech has worked with top universities – Obafemi Awolowo University and Ahmadu Bello University to extend their programs through e-Learning, such as the first e-learning MBA in Nigeria.
