ANZ Corporate Sustainability Review 2015

ANZ released its 2015 Corporate Sustainability Review disclosing how it is managing material social and environmental risks and opportunities.

Some highlights of the review include:

  • Women in management increased 1.2% from 39.2% to 40.4% $881 million committed to renewable energy projects, with 81.7% of ANZ’s energy portfolio comprised of low carbon energy generation
  • ANZ Chief Executive Officer Mike Smith said: “Trust remains at the heart of banking. Part of earning and maintaining that trust involves being even more transparent about how we make our decisions and regularly reporting on our progress.” “I’m particularly pleased we exceeded our target for women in management. The business case for change is clear and although we’ve made good progress on many fronts we understand there is still more to be done before we can say we have a truly diverse workforce,” Mr Smith said.
