Regina is a UN National Youth Volunteer working with the Peacebuilding Fund Project in Solomon Islands and a Youth Empowerment & Engagement Officer. She assisted organizing the first ever Youth Peacebuilding Innovation Forum in Honiara, Solomon Islands under the Peace Building Fund Project UNDP.
She used to work as a communications officer for Youth@Work progamme, a project under the Pacific Community Organization that helps to provide employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for unemployed youths in Solomon Islands. While working there, she co-founded YOSI Magazine, a magazine that provides a platform for young people to express themselves and read inspiring stories. She is still part of the Magazine’s Editorial team. After leaving Youth@Work in 2015, Regina worked as a Freelance Writer/Filmmaker and Entrepreneur along with her sister. They established a Freelance Media Company called Sparklens Freelance.
Regina is an active volunteer and passionate media worker since 2013 as she continues to write for YOSI, Today Solomons Magazine and was a reporter for Women’s Weekly Newspaper. She is also a Director of SAY IT OUT LOUD FILM FESTIVAL in Honiara, Treasurer of Women in Media Solomon Islands (WMSI) and Secretary of Young Women’s Parliamentary Group (YWPG) in which she is the Communications Team Leader. Regina represented her country at the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission in June this year alongside Solomon Islands Prime Minister. In her free time, she loves writing, making films.
