Dr Wyn Ellis is Coordinator of the Sustainable Rice Platform, a global multi-stakeholder partnership comprising over 100 institutional members, convened by UN Environment and the International Rice Research Institute, together with private sector, research and civil society partners. SRP works towards rice sector transformation through wide-scale adoption of climate-smart, sustainable best practices by rice
smallholders.
Wyn has spent most of his 30-year career in Asia, working on agricultural development and agro- innovation with UN agencies, ADB, GIZ, private companies, governments, universities, NGOs and industry bodies. He holds a Ph.D. from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, an M.Sc. from the University of Reading and M.A. and B.A. degrees from Oxford University.
