Bird populations are currently declining worldwide, with 1,200 species facing extinction in the next century.

BirdLife International is the global coordinator of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals Energy Task Force (ETF), a multi-stakeholder membership platform that works towards reconciling renewable energy developments with conservation of migratory species. It creates decision support tools such as the Soaring Bird Sensitivity Mapping Tool and Integrated Biodiversity Assessment Tool to guide governments, investors and developers to determine the most cost- effective, sustainable and ecologically sound sites for construction. This video was produced by Global Initiatives.
