Ridding our oceans of plastic pollution

Scientists predict that oceans will contain more plastic than fish by 2050. What can we do to reverse this trend? The UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) look to mobilize efforts to end all forms of poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change, while ensuring that no one is left behind. SDG 14 aims to conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources. Careful management of our oceans is a key feature of a sustainable future. Global packaging giant Amcor is leading efforts to address plastic pollution in our oceans by providing funding, executing projects aimed at improving recycling and encouraging employees to get involved in coastal clean-ups.
